Qatar ID Application Process

What to do if Your Qatar ID Card is Missing?

The General Directorate of Passports must be notified when a resident’s ID card is lost.

Within Qatar:

Residents or representatives of companies must submit their passports for verification along with a lost ID form. When a card is lost within Qatar, there is a lost report fee of QR200 and a replacement card fee of QR100.

Outside Qatar:

The Return Permit for a Resident is issued when the resident’s card is lost outside Qatar. This permit can be obtained by filing a report with the country where the card was lost, sending it to the Qatari representative, and having it attested to by Qatari authorities.

A QR200 fee is required for this permit. The residents abroad can enter the country once they receive the document. Once in Qatar, the resident should contact the Expatriates Affairs Department to obtain a new card.
